“BdowN” is a creative force and small business owner in the Twin Cities, widely-known and respected for his unique skill for glass-blowing. Born and raised in the cultural center of North Minneapolis, he began his glass blowing journey at the early age of 17 as an apprentice, in exchange for a promise to a mentor that he would avoid the troubles of street life. As an ambitious young man expecting his first child, this appealed to his desire to grow while providing for his new family.
After nearly a year dedicated to studying the finer points of the craft, he began to invest in his own equipment to operate from a home workshop, in order to balance the needs of building his business and family. Several years into his progression, BdowN’s skill and business grew to a size requiring a larger space to expand on his projects- so, he relocated his shop to the bustling area of uptown Minneapolis, in partnership with the popular smoker’s destination, GlassLand. For the next four years, BdowN’s relationships and portfolio of work expanded to multiple clients and artists across the Twin Cities region and beyond.

BdowN’s vision for his work continues to evolve: for the last few years, he has trained over 10 apprentices in the art and science of glass blowing, and plans to work with countless others in his newest (and independently-ran) studio space, equipped with multiple workstations, where aspiring glassblowers (including members of his family) are under his tutelage.
Alongside his professional trade, BdowN is also an active member of the Twin Cities Music scene, where he facilitates the growth and development of numerous artists through his multi-purpose workshop space, which for many years has included a recording studio.
BdowN is a family man, independent thinker, entrepreneur, and artist who continues to impact and influence other creatives across the Twin Cities arts community.
